Introducing Laurie Plumb
- I am licensed with the Georgia Dept. of Agriculture.
- I have a business license with Gwinnett County.
I have always had at least one dog since I was a little girl, but never had the opportunity to become deeply involved with the canine species. In 2008, I retired from administrative work and enrolled in a dog training class. After graduating, I worked for a few local trainers, then decided to start out on my own. I began offering basic obedience, potty training, boarding and day care. My clients came to me by word of mouth.
My business grew. Soon my boarding business over ran my training.
I chose to cease training and focus on boarding and day care only.
I am also heavily involved with rescue .
I always have 5 or more foster dogs and almost always a litter of pups.
All rescued from local kill shelters.
Fostering is how my personal dog ownership has reached 15.
After nurturing a sick dog back to health or weaning an adorable puppy from it's mother, it's difficult to let go. For the lack of a better term, this is called "Foster Failure".
My home is perfectly suited for my client’s pets. With a six foot privacy fence and 8100 square feet of running room, my client’s loved ones are sure to enjoy every minute of their stay. Since I board full time, all guest canines are treated like a member of the family, which consists of 15 dogs that I have rescued from various shelters around the southeast. My pets aid in helping my guests improve their sociability behavior.
